Does the business have a substitution or variation policy? Whenever you're buying a present for shipping online, it's frequently the case the thing may be oversold or from stock. In cases like this, the business will either substitute a similar product of similar value, or hold over the purchase for verification from you. I prefer the idea of sending a substitute of like goods, as holding over the order can mean chasing up the client (you) and lead to significant delays in getting the present sent.
